In a workers’ compensation case, the case manager and the attorney perform very different roles. The insurance company selects the case manager that is responsible for handling your case. Although he or she works with you directly, it is important to understand that the case manager’s job is to represent the interests of the employer and the insurance company as it relates to your medical care only.
On the other hand, an attorney works for you. Your attorney will make sure that you are receiving appropriate medical treatment, as well as all benefits owed to you under the Workers’ Compensation Act.
